Artist Jeff Pykerman was born in Kenora, Ontario.
He began his artistic studies in Thunder Bay, Ontario where he specialized in
film and animation. This endeavour proved to be an invaluable contributor to the artist’s future
style, composition, use of light and form. Pykerman then continued his studies in British Columbia and
Toronto.
His
quest for further enrichment led him to Paris and London.
His exposure to neo-expressionism in Europe resulted in the
evolution of his style from watercolour to acrylic canvases. His use of
rich, powerful and saturated colour combines with his sense of fantasy,
resulting in a creation that is both whimsical and phantasmagorical.
Pykerman
has enjoyed a great deal of success and is regularly commissioned to
create new works, both for private and corporate collections, nationally
and internationally.
